In the 1st quarter of 2019 natural gas production was 5.300 million cubic meters. Compared to the same period of 2018 the indicator increased by 3%.
In the overall structure of gas production sector, 79.2% (4.200 million cubic meters) were produced by group of companies, which are subject to NJSC Naftogaz, other 20.8% (1.100 million cubic meters) were produced by private companies.
Among NJSC Naftogaz group’s companies the largest producer is JSC Ukrgazvydobuvannya, which in the 1st quarter produced 3.900 million cubic meters (73.6% from the total volume) and parastatal JSC Ukrnafta – 300 million cubic meters (5.7%).
Among the private companies the best result was shown by company, which are subject to DTEK holding – private JSC Naftogazvydobuvannya, which produced 408 million cubic meters of natural gas (7.7% from the total volume), followed by private JSC Ukrnaftoburinnya – 169 million cubic meters (3.2%), LLC Esko-Pivnich – 154 million cubic meters (2.9%), private JSC Pryrodni resursy – 45 million cubic meters (0.8%) and LLC KUB-GAZ and Regal Petroleum Corp. Ltd., which produced 37 million cubic meters each.
It should be recalled that in the end of March 2019, the Cabinet of Ministers agreed to continue the contract with the Head of Naftogaz, Andriy Kobolyev, under the condition of agreement to increase natural gas production from 15 billion cubic meters up to 18 billion cubic meters annually.
