Akademik Cherskiy went to the place of work to complete the construction of Nord Stream 2

The pipe-laying vessel Akademik Cherskiy, after a three-week stay near Kaliningrad, has moved away from the parking lot and is moving west, according to the data of the positioning system of sea vessels, Interfax reports.

At the end of September, the International Group of Mutual Insurance Clubs for Shipowners refused to insure ships that may participate in the construction of the Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline under the leadership of Russia due to the threat of US sanctions.

Russian officials are proposing Germany a discount on gas to complete the construction of the Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline.
