Akademik Cherskiy completed its part of Nord Stream 2

According to the navigation portal Vesselfinder, on July 27, the Akademik Cherskiy pipelayer completed a section of the second line of Nord Stream 2 in the shallow Adlegrund section in the German economic zone in the Baltic Sea, Eadaily reports.

The sea depth does not exceed 21.5 meters. It took the vessel five days to lay 2.6 kilometres of gas pipeline

Meanwhile, the vessel Fortuna continues laying the second line of the gas pipeline in Danish waters and 13 kilometres remain to be laid to the German economic zone.

The chief executive of Nord Stream 2 AG operator Matthias Warnig told German media that the project was scheduled to be completed by the end of August.

To recap, the European Parliament appealed to the EU institutions because of Nord Stream 2.

Earlier, the press secretary of the President of the Russian Federation Dmytro Peskov said that negotiations on gas transit through Ukraine after 2024 would depend on demand in Europe.
