Baker Hughes stops servicing Russian LNG projects

The American Baker Hughes is terminating servicing all Russian LNG projects, recalling service engineers from a number of projects, and stopping the shipment of equipment for the Arctic LNG-2 under construction, Kommersant writes, citing sources.

“Baker Hughes is finishing providing service to all Russian LNG projects. In particular, the company recalls service engineers from Gazprom's Sakhalin-2 and Novatek's Yamal LNG projects, as well as design engineers from Novatek's Arctic LNG-2 under construction.

Simultaneously, Baker Hughes will stop shipping equipment for the latest project, including gas turbines. The timing of the completion of the construction of the first line of the Arctic LNG-2 directly depends on these deliveries.

This calls into question the further operation and commissioning of foreign equipment and makes it impossible to supply spare parts.

I’d like to help Kosatka.Media. How can I help?

Also, the completion of the construction of the first line of the Arctic LNG-2 directly depends on the supply of Baked Hughes gas turbines.
