Babii: NEURC may revoke the license of another gas supplier

Olha Babii, a member of the National Energy and Utilities Regulatory Commission (NEURC), told during the Ukraine 30 All-Ukrainian Forum that the Commission might once again revoke a license to a natural gas supplier for gross violation of license conditions, Kosatka.Media reports.

“We are monitoring the territory, where we have revoked the license of the supplier, another supplier continues the same actions. But it will also be deprived of his license if he continues such actions,” she said.

According to her, this is the option of the Regulator to promptly respond to abuses by monopolists in a certain territory concerning consumers.

To recap, on February 12, NEURC cancelled the license for the first time for abuse in the natural gas market. Based on the results of the unscheduled inspection, it was found that the licensee included in its register of household consumers without receiving applications for joining the contract for the supply of natural gas.
