Private gas production has doubled over the past 8 years

Over the past 8 years, private gas producing companies in Ukraine have more than doubled their natural gas production, ExPro data published in ExPro Gas & Oil Monthly says.

In January-July 2021, private companies produced 2.5 billion cubic meters of gas, twice as much as in the same period in 2013 – 1.24 billion cubic meters.

The largest growth was shown by the company Naftogazvydobuvannya (DTEK), which came out on top among private companies. For 7 months of operation in 2021, the company produced 1.14 billion cubic meters of gas, 4 times more than in 2013.

Ukrnaftaburinnia ranks second in terms of production – 471 million cubic meters in 7 months, which is three times more than the company produced in the same period in 2013.

Burisma Group closes the top three, production of which in January-July 2021 amounted to 434 million cubic meters, 20% more than in 2013.

According to ExPro, the share of private companies in gas production in Ukraine in August 2021 exceeded 25%. For comparison, in 2013 this share was 11%.
