Four underground gas storages are full

Ukrtransgaz has stopped the injection of fuel in four (out of ten) underground storage facilities due to the achievement of the planned volumes for 2019 – at Solokhovske UGSF, Krasnopartizanske UGSF, Proletarske UGSF, Krasnopopovske UGSF. The injection mode continues at six other storage facilities in an average daily volume of 75 million cubic meters. This is reported by Ukrtransgaz.

To date, the gas reserve in Ukrainian underground gas storage facilities is 17.4 billion cubic meters of gas, which is the highest figure since 2012.

Ukrtransgaz notes that now more than 270 companies use the services of storing gas volumes in UGS facilities both in the normal mode and in the customs warehouse mode. The number of such companies increased by 40% compared to last year.

By the beginning of the heating season, it is necessary to accumulate at least 20 billion cubic meters of gas in the underground gas storage facilities. This will enable Ukraine to go through the next autumn-winter period, even taking into account the complete stop of Gazprom transit from January 1, 2020.
