Firtash’s regional gas distribution companies were denied the liquidation of debts on the gas market

The National Energy and Utilities Regulatory Commission did not include four regional gas distribution companies in the Register of the Natural Gas Market Participants involved in the procedure of debt management.

The National Energy and Utilities Regulatory Commission has refused to include four regional gas distribution companies owned by Dmytro Firtash into the Register of the Natural Gas Market Participants, the press service reports.

NEURC decided not to include Dniprogaz JSC, Krivorizhgaz JSC, Lvivgaz JSC and Mukolaivgaz JSC into the Register of the Natural Gas Market Participants, the press service reports.

Regional gas distribution companies failed to provide NEURC with documents as required by the Law of Ukraine "On measures aimed at overcoming the crisis and ensuring financial stability in the natural gas market."

“These companies subsequently become ineligible to receive compensation as the law provides, since they are not to be included in the Register,” the Chairman of the Regulator, Valerii Tarasiuk said.

To recap, NEURC was denied access to Naftogaz; NJSC was fined.
