Debt for negative imbalances increased to UAH 1.35 billion – GTSOU

GTS Operator of Ukraine reports that as of November 2020, the debt of market participants for the withdrawn process gas from the main gas pipelines system increased by 10% compared to the same indicator in October and amounted to UAH 1.35 billion.

Negative imbalances created by operators of gas distribution networks (regional gas companies) account for 85% of this debt (UAH 1.09 billion), and their debt growth in November amounted to 12% (UAH 120 million).

It is noted that among 43 operators of gas distribution networks, 27 enterprises have debts. The leaders are Luhanskgaz – UAH 273 million (+UAH 2.1 million to the debt in November), Ternopilgorgaz – UAH 225 million (+UAH 29.0 million), Donetskoblgaz – UAH 213 million (+UAH 135.9 million), Kyivoblgaz – UAH 59 million and Khersongaz – UAH 37 million (+UAH 19.5 million).

GTSOU has filed 22 claims against debtors in commercial courts. It has already won 5 cases (Ternopilgorgaz, Kirovohradgaz, Melitopolgaz, Umangaz, Khersongaz) for a total of UAH 245 million.

Based on the statements of GTSOU, NEURC decided to check the activities of other major debtors unscheduled.

As reported, the Verkhovna Rada adopted a law on the purchase of gas by GTSOU at the exchange.
