The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) has extended the list of prequalified gas suppliers that are eligible to participate in tenders announced by Naftogaz for gas purchase using funds received from the EBRD within the framework of Naftogaz’s Eurobond placement in 2019. Within the scope of the project, Naftogaz can use up to EUR 120 million to buy gas from prequalified European suppliers.
Newly qualified companies include the following:
- Trafigura Trading (Europe) Sarl (Switzerland);
- ERU Management Services LLC (USA);
- Eni Trading and Shipping SpA (Italy).
As we informed previously, the prequalification procedure remains open for all new participants during the entire effective period of the loan.
Earlier, 14 companies had prequalified for gas supplies under the EBRD loan in 2019.
Earlier it was reported that Naftogaz had placed Eurobonds in the amount of $500 million.
