French Prime Minister Jean Castex said that gas prices in the country will be frozen throughout 2022, he said on the air of TF 1 TV channel, Angi reports.
Referring to experts, the prime minister said that the decline in gas prices will occur at a slower pace than previously assumed.
Initially, the French authorities expected to freeze prices until April 2022 due to rising energy prices.
As previously reported, European enterprises may start to close due to a sharp rise in energy prices. The head of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, warned about such risks, speaking at the plenary session of the European Parliament.
To recap, the British will be paid for the installation of energy-efficient heating systems.
Earlier it was reported that Europe began to take gas from underground storage facilities.
