France says it can do without Russian supplies

Imports of Russian gas to France have declined but not stopped, Minister of Energy Transformations Agnès Pannier-Runachet said, ANGI reports

“Today we are in a situation in which we continue to import Russian gas, but in smaller quantities,” she said.

The minister also added that France could theoretically do without supplies from Russia.

“This assumes that all LNG carriers arrive on time, and we can comfortably fill our strategic storage facilities,” she added.
