Gazprom bought only 4% of the proposed additional firm capacity through Ukraine in September

At the auction of the Gas Transportation System Operator of Ukraine (GTSOU), the Russian company Gazprom bought only a small part of the offered additional firm capacities through Ukraine for September, according to the results of the Regional Booking Platform auction on Monday, Interfax-Ukraine reports.

Capacities up to 15 million cubic meters per day were put up for auction, but only 0.65 million cubic meters per day were purchased.

Gazprom has a long-term booking of 40 billion cubic meters of Ukrainian facilities for 202, which is 109 million cubic meters.

In previous months, Gazprom regularly booked additional firm capacity through Ukraine and never ordered additional interrupted capacity offered by GTSOU.

Since the beginning of August, Gazprom has sharply reduced gas transmission through the Yamal-Europe gas pipeline, which it has booked until the end of September.
