Germany will consider Ukraine's proposal for additional gas transit

German Ambassador to Ukraine Anka Feldhusen said that the German Ministry of Economy and Energy had received an offer from Ukraine for additional transit of 55 billion cubic meters of gas under special conditions, Interfax-Ukraine reports.

“We received this proposal from the Ukrainian side and handed it over to our Ministry of Economy and Energy, like all other proposals of the Ukrainian side. We will talk intensively about this proposal, ”she said at a conference in Kyiv on Monday.

The diplomat stressed that Germany is also trying to save transit through Ukraine.

“But I must also say that gas transit will eventually end completely, so Ukraine should work on the future of this system to ensure the transit of hydrogen in the future, so that Ukraine becomes independent and can export energy itself,” Feldhusen added.

To recap, Gazprom may completely cut off gas supplies to Moldova.

Earlier, Zelenskyi offered Russia a discount on gas transportation to Europe.
