The Cabinet of Ministers has extended the powers of two independent directors of Naftogaz

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has extended contracts with two independent members of the supervisory board of NJSC Naftogaz of Ukraine for six months, the press service reports. The corresponding order No.1562-r was adopted by the government on December 14, 2020.

The government has decided to elect Bruno Lescoeur and Claire Spottiswoode as independent members of Naftogaz's supervisory board for a period of six months. Accordingly, the government instructed the Chairman of the Management Board of the Company, Andriy Kobolyev, to conclude additional agreements.

Claire Spottiswoode has been Chair of the Supervisory Board since December 2017 and Chair of the Ethics and Compliance Committee.

Claire Spottiswoode's priority is working with international and Ukrainian stakeholders. In particular, she was responsible for the unbundling of Naftogaz since 2018.

Bruno Lescoeur has been a member of the Supervisory Board since December 2017, Chairman of the Audit and Risk Committee and the Nomination and Remuneration Committee.

As Chairman of the Audit and Risk Committee of the Supervisory Board of Naftogaz, Bruno Lescoeur worked on implementing internal control and internal audit system. He ensures effective interaction with Naftogaz's independent external auditor and with auditors involved in conducting independent forensic audits.

Earlier, the Supervisory Board of Naftogaz extended the contract with Andriy Kobolyev for 4 years.
