Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal assured that prices and tariffs for housing and communal services in the current heating season would remain unchanged, on the air of the Ukrainian TV channel.
The electricity tariff was reduced for 80% of households to UAH 1.44 per kWh. For the others, it remains UAH 1.68 per kWh.
Naftogaz offers gas to the population at UAH 7.96/cubic meter. Those consumers who use the services of the SoLR also pay the same price. Besides, we entered into a memorandum with representatives of local government to keep tariffs for heat and hot water at the level of last year. The state gives 4% of personal income tax and 13.44% of excise tax to local budgets next year. This is more than UAH 30 billion, which is quite enough to accomplish this task,” Denys Shmyhal said.
The Prime Minister also stressed that all people in need of subsidies would be provided with them. According to Shmyhal, the standards for calculating subsidies to Ukrainians have been increased by 50% in the red zones following the decree of the Cabinet of Ministers.
