The Cabinet of Ministers appointed a new representative from the state to the Naftogaz Supervisory Board

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine introduced the American Robert Bensh to the Naftogaz Supervisory Board as a state representative. The corresponding decision is published on the government website, Business Censor reports.

The Cabinet of Ministers also canceled Decree No.79 of February 5, which introduced a Polish citizen Ireneusz Biel, who has been CEO of the Amicus Europae Foundation (a private fund created by ex-President of Poland Alexander Kwasniewski) since 2013, to the Supervisory Board of Naftogaz.

Robert Bensh is the ultimate beneficial owner of PJSC Donbasenergo through Energoinvest Holding, according to the Unified State Register of Legal Entities, Individual Entrepreneurs and Public Associations.

In the mid-2000s, he was CEO of British Cardinal Resources plc, which has several licenses for the development of oil and gas assets in Ukraine, as well as jointly developing oil and gas fields with PJSC Ukrnafta and JSC Ukrgazvydobuvannya. In 2011, Bensh led 3P International Energy Corp. (Canada)/Cub Energy Inc. (USA) with assets in Ukraine. He also acted as an adviser to KUB-Gas LLC on the sale of 70% of its shares to the Polish Kulczyk Oil Ventures Inc.

Now the Supervisory Board of NJSC Naftogaz of Ukraine includes Claire Spottiswoode (Great Britain), Bruno Lescua (France), Amos Hochstein (USA) and Ludo van der Heyden (Belgium), as well as government representatives – Natalia Boyko and Yulia Kovaliv.

Earlier it was reported that the Cabinet of Ministers changed state representatives in the Naftogaz Supervisory Board.
