The Cabinet of Ministers will oblige Naftogaz to allow the State Audit Service to audit the company's activities in 2017-2021.

At a meeting on Wednesday, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine plans to oblige NJSC Naftogaz of Ukraine to create appropriate conditions for the State Audit Service of Ukraine (State Audit Service) to conduct state financial control of the company's financial and economic activities in 2017-2021, Interfax-Ukraine reports.

The control will be carried out as part of the implementation of the decision of the National Security and Defense Council (NSDC) of December 2, 2019 "On urgent measures to ensure energy security", which was put into effect by the decree of President Volodymyr Zelensky No. 874 on the same day.

NSDC instructed the Cabinet of Ministers to organize an audit of compliance with the requirements of the legislation in the field of production, supply and sale of coal and natural gas, in particular, to provide gas to the population and heat energy producers in 2017-2019.

According to the explanatory note to the draft corresponding government order, Naftogaz, in particular, is obliged to ensure the admission of representatives of the State Audit Service to its business entities, enterprises, branches and representative offices in the amount of 28 units.

To recap, NJSC Naftogaz received the arrested shares of Donetskoblgaz under management.
