The Cabinet of Ministers transferred state CHPPs to the management of NJSC Naftogaz

During a government meeting, Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal announced the transfer of state-owned combined heat and power plants from the management of the State Property Fund to NJSC Naftogaz of Ukraine, Kosatka.Media reports.

“I also appeal to the local leaders on whose territory these CHPPs are located: if you have confidence that you can manage these enterprises better, then you have the opportunity to apply to the Cabinet of Ministers. We are ready to consider the transfer of the relevant facilities to your management. The government is responsible for decentralization, and we have proved more than once that we are ready to transfer powers and resources to the localities,” he said.

To recap, NEURC has transferred the authority to regulate the activities of heat supply enterprises from the state to the local level.

As reported, the SoLR will automatically supply natural gas to heat producers.
