The Cabinet of Ministers transferred the seized property of two thermal power plants in Lviv region to the management of Naftogaz

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, by its order dated August 25, transferred the seized property of the unified property complexes of Novoyavorivskaya and Novorozdolskaya TPPs in Lviv region to the management of Naftogaz Teplo, the press service reports.

Such a solution will ensure a stable passage of the heating season in Novoyavorivsk and Novyy Rozdil, in particular, to avoid emergencies and failures in heat, power and electricity supply to these settlements.

“Thus, the Asset Recovery And Management Agency (ARMA) is obliged to ensure the transfer of assets of LLC Naftogaz Teplo in accordance with the acts of acceptance and transfer for the period until the risk of interrupting the operation of both CHPs is eliminated,” the message says.

The Cabinet of Ministers mentioned that the decision was made within the framework of a special procedure for selecting managers for strategic and socially important assets, which is applied in special cases and allows the most efficient state-owned companies to legally and as soon as possible establish the management of critical infrastructure facilities.

“Firstly, this is an important prerequisite for the successful passage of the next heating season in Novyy Rozdil and Novoyavorivsk. Secondly, a practically tested mechanism has finally appeared, which guarantees the participation of the state in the preservation and maintenance of the functioning of strategic assets, in particular, such as Motor Sich, Donetskoblgaz, etc." Head of ARMA Dmytro Zhoravovich said.

To recap, the Ministry of Energy has approved a new monthly schedule for the accumulation of coal.
