The Cabinet of Ministers suggests moratorium on raising gas, heat and water tariffs

The Cabinet of Ministers is to submit bills providing a moratorium on raising gas, heat and water tariffs during the effect of the martial law and 6 months after it ends, the Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal wrote in Telegram.

“The government will submit to the Verkhovna Rada bills that provide for a moratorium on the gas, heat and water tariffs increase while the martial law is in effect and 6 months after it ends. Tariffs for gas and its distribution, as well as heat and hot water, will not be increased. In these hard days, any increase in tariffs is not appropriate,” Denys Smyhal wrote in Telegram.

According to the PM,  these bills will also shape compensatory mechanisms enabling maintaining the suitable level of critical infrastructure and its restoration.
