During the Hour of Questions to the Government, Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal said that the Cabinet of Ministers planned to allocate more than UAH 30 billion to district heating companies from the state budget to compensate for the difference in tariffs, UNIAN reports.
“The government is working on the issue of compensating for the difference in tariffs for heating companies for the previous periods, as well as on the issue of restructuring the debt that exists at these enterprises. More than UAH 30 billion will be transferred to district heating companies to compensate for this difference. Statements that the government leaves someone alone with problems are populist rhetoric that has nothing to do with reality,” the Prime Minister said.
He also stressed that today the technical readiness of the regions for winter exceeds 90%, and Ukraine has already pumped 18.5 billion cubic meters of gas into underground gas storage facilities.
To recap, Shmyhal assured that the tariffs for gas and heat for the population would not increase.
