Roman Opimakh won the competition for the position of the Head of the Public Service of Geology and Subsoil of Ukraine

Executive Director of the Association of Gas Producers Roman Opimakh scored the most points in the competition for the position of the Head of the Public Service of Geology and Subsoil.

This was reported by enkorr.

According to the source of the publication, Roman Opimakh scored 16 points, while his closest competitor, Yaroslav Pohorelov, scored 11 points. The competitive commission recommends the candidacy of Opimach to the Minister, who must agree on it and submit it to the Cabinet of Ministers for consideration.

Recall, on September 25, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine dismissed Head of the Public Service of Geology and Subsoil Oleh Kyryliuk.  

The leadership of Oleh Kyryliuk is associated with many scandals. In particular, in September 2018, the First Deputy was detained on receiving a bribe in the amount of $3.000.

NABU has opened criminal proceedings on the possibility of abuse of official position by officials of the Public Service of Geology and Subsoil of Ukraine.   

It is also known that the Public Service of Geology and Subsoil of Ukraine blocked the issuance and extension of special licenses for gas and oil production, Ukrgazvydobuvannya, Ukrnafta and Naftogaz of Ukraine.
