Beneficiaries reduced debt for gas by 2.3 billion – Naftogaz

The debt of counterparties receiving gas at the PSO amounted to UAH 73.6 billion. This is a decrease by UAH 2.3 billion, or 3.1% per week, the press service of Naftogaz reports.

It is reported that over the week, heat producers reduced debt by UAH 1,668 million (4.1%), regional gas sales enterprises – by UAH 650 million (2.3%), thermal power plants (electricity generation) – by 2 million UAH (0%).

As of March 24, 2020, the total overdue indebtedness of district heating companies, heat and power plants to Naftogaz of Ukraine is about UAH 46.3 billion. Compared to last week, debt decreased by UAH 1,670 million (3.5%).

The debt of regional gas retail enterprises is about UAH 27.3 billion. Compared to last week, the debt decreased by UAH 650 million (2.3%).

The debt of industrial enterprises over the past week decreased by UAH 1 million (0%) and amounts to about UAH 3.5 billion.

The debt of utility company Kyivteploenergo for gas used for the production of heat and electricity over the past week decreased by UAH 616 million (14.1%). The total debt of Kyivteploenergo is about UAH 3.8 billion.  

To recap, in March 2020, the wholesale price of natural gas for the needs of the population, heat producers and other protected consumers will be 14% lower than in February 2020.
