Lukashenko announced the suspension of gas transit to the EU again
The self-proclaimed President of Belarus Oleksandr Lukashenko described the conditions under which Belarus can cut off gas transit to Europe, BelTA informs.
“If the sanctions they impose put us in a state of emergency and we have no way out to respond with other measures, we will take advantage of this tough measure,” he said.
In early December, Lukashenko already announced the possibility of stopping the transit of energy resources to the EU.
To recap, Belarus will cover the damage from the sanctions with cheap Russian gas.
