Makohon: Russia continues to reduce the volume of gas transit to the EU
The Head of the Ukrainian GTS Operator, Serhii Makohon, said that Russia is decreasing the volume of natural gas transit to Europe every month, he wrote on his Facebook page.
So, from October 1, transit through Ukraine dropped to 86 million m3 per day. According to Makohon, the Russian company continues to pay for the transit capacity provided by the contract, 109 million m3 per day.
“With such volumes of transportation, Gazprom will not supply to the EU by the end of May about 5 billion m3,” the message says.
He also noted that since November 1, transit through Ukraine has once again decreased to 57 million per day.
To recap, Russia has stopped pumping gas to Europe via the Yamal-Europe gas pipeline.
