The offshore part of one line of Nord Stream 2 has been mechanically completed
The offshore part of one line of Nord Stream 2 has been mechanically completed. Pipelay was completed on June 4, 2021, and the above water tie-in was performed today – the offshore pipeline sections laid from Russia and Germany have thus been interconnected.
Starting from tomorrow, the required pre-commissioning activities will be carried out to prepare for gas-in.
Offshore pipelay works on the second line are ongoing. All activities are in accordance with the respective permits.
US President Joe Biden has waived new sanctions against the Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline.
