Naftogaz agreed with 29 companies on gas supplies to the population in February

Gas Supply Company Naftogaz Trading LLC has concluded agreements with 26 sales companies from 13 regions to supply gas to the population in February at a price fixed by the government – no more than UAH 6.99 per cubic meter, the press service reports.

3 more suppliers decided to work on the previously signed annual contracts, taking on all price risks.

Thus, Naftogaz Trading will provide resources to 29 companies with expected supplies of over 100 million cubic meters per month to provide nearly 1.2 million household consumers.

“The proposal on the terms of gas sales in February is publicly available on the website of Naftogaz Trading and is available to all gas distributors. The agreement provides for the transfer of the EIC codes of residential consumers and their addresses to the company in order to form the forecast volumes of supplies and guarantee the targeted use of gas. Unconfirmed quantities will be priced using the market formula at the date of delivery. The framework agreement contains a clause on non-disclosure of information to ensure data protection. The partners of Naftogaz Trading went through the compliance procedure before signing the contract,” the message says.

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine included natural gas to the list of goods of significant social importance and set a price limit for it when supplied to household consumers at UAH 6.99 per cubic meter from February 1 and for the period of quarantine, but no longer than March 31, 2021, by Resolution No.25, on January 18, 2021.

According to the State Statistics Service, there are 11.6 million domestic gas consumers in Ukraine. For 6 months of 2020, they used 4.3 billion cubic meters of gas. Gas is supplied to the population by 60 sales enterprises.
