NJSC “Naftogaz of Ukraine” is considering the possibility of pumping additional volumes of gas into underground gas storage facilities of Ukraine if Russian “Gazprom” stops gas transit through the country after 2019. It was announced by the Head of the NJSC “Naftogaz of Ukraine” at a press conference on Friday.
Also, the Head of NJSC said that in order to purchase gas to pump into storage facilities if Gazprom stops gas transit from January 1, 2020, it is planned to attract loan funds, but “it will be possible only after the elections”:
“We must be ready to stop transit. “Gazprom” has already proved several times that it is able to do this”, A. Kobolev noted.
