NJSC Naftogaz of Ukraine urges heat producers to expedite the conclusion of amicable agreements on the repayment of gas debts to unblock their accounts as soon as possible, to start the heating season on time and to ensure its stable passage, the press service reports.
The signing of amicable agreements on the repayment of gas debts is part of the agreements enshrined in the Memorandum of Understanding on the settlement of problematic issues in the field of heat energy supplies and hot water supplies in the 2021/2022heating period, concluded on September 30.
The corresponding debt settlement algorithm was approved by the Board of Naftogaz on September 7th. Information about the possibility of signing amicable agreements was communicated to the district heating companies through the Ministry of Development of Communities and Territories of Ukraine on September 10.
However, for almost a month, only 15 district heating companies out of the potential 60 signatory enterprises applied to Naftogaz with the corresponding packages of documents.
The corresponding agreements with district heating companies, the main debt of which is less than UAH 10 million, provide for its payment in equal instalments over 60 months. In turn, heat producers with a large debt will be able to pay it in equal instalments within 72 months.
Besides, the debt settlement algorithm proposed by the company provides for a deferral of payment of fines and financial sanctions, which are subsequently subject to write-off in the manner and method provided for by Law of Ukraine No.1730.
