Naftogaz cuts Vitrenko's position

Yurii Vitrenko, Executive Director of NJSC Naftogaz, posted on Facebook that his position is cut, and in two months he will leave the company.

"Friends! I was only formally warned that my position was cut, and this means that in two months I will be fired from Naftogaz. Since I constantly have to fight against misinformation, and, moreover, “with superior rival forces,” I must again resort to radical openness and share my vision of the situation here,” he wrote.

Among the main reasons for his dismissal, he names the relationship with head of NJSC Naftogaz Andriy Kobolyev, the non-priority of the fight against Russian aggression and the fight against corruption.

“The oligarchs and corrupt officials never liked the way we systematically reduce the space for corruption. Although we are not anti-corruption bodies, and the capabilities of our team in the fight against corruption have always been very limited, in fact, we fought with it. We did not allow the creation of RosUkrEnergo-2. We have significantly reduced corruption opportunities in the Ukrainian gas market, in particular for the Firtash group and for those like Favorov,” he said.
