Naftogaz Group has created a new business division – Heat Power Engineering – it will be responsible for the thermal power plants transferred from the State Property Fund to the management of NJSC Naftogaz of Ukraine, the press service reports. We are talking about thermal power plants in Novoyavorivsk and Novyi Rozdil (Lviv region).
Vitalii Shcherbenko, who until recently held the position of Director for Energy Efficiency and Property Management at Naftogaz Group, has been appointed director of the new division.
It is noted that Naftogaz received CHPs in Novoyavorivsk and Novyi Rozdil with debts for gas of UAH 700 million, workers did not receive a salary for half a year. In Novyi Rozdil, they did not collect payments for heating from consumers for a year.
“In October 2020, a year later, the heating season began on time, and workers are paid according to the schedule. Now the level of payments for gas received under the PSO project is 97%. Naftogaz has also established work with consumers, and now the level of payments of the population for heat is 86% and is growing,” the message says.
The division will be engaged in the operational activities of CHPs of the Naftogaz Group, participate in the development of the optimal management system and staffing of these enterprises, develop a strategic plan and programs for their development, monitor the achievement of maximum financial indicators, compliance with legislation and coordinate the interaction of CHPs with the executive authorities, the regulator and other stakeholders.
Naftogaz Group is in the process of transformation.
Each division specializes in specific business areas for maximizing added value and establishing clear responsibility for results. As of today, the Group has already created 5 business divisions: Exploration and Production, Oil, Commerce, New Energy, and Heat Power Engineering. The sixth division is in the process of creation (Natural Gas Storage). In addition to the main business divisions, a separate Technical Support division has been created, which is centrally responsible for capital projects, research and development activities, and supply chain management.
Also, the first corporate functions have recently been created: Financial, Human resources management, Safety, and Labor protection (HSE). They are needed to improve operating activities, improve service for internal customers (divisions and other functions), reduce bureaucracy, avoid multi-channel reporting, and duplicate processes.
