In the first quarter of 2020 Naftogaz will pay taxes for funds received from Gazprom
In 2019, the Naftogaz group paid UAH 120.3 billion in taxes and dividends to state and local budgets, press service reports.
“In particular, income tax – UAH 22.3 billion, VAT – UAH 32.3 billion, rental payments – UAH 32.2 billion, dividends – UAH 20.8 billion, and others. At the same time, Naftogaz paid UAH 15.1 billion in taxes and dividends ahead of schedule in the fourth quarter of 2019, according to the agreement with the Ministry of Finance”, the statement said.
Over the past year, revenues from the Naftogaz group accounted for about 16% of total state budget revenues.
NJSC Naftogaz of Ukraine also plans to pay taxes in the first quarter of 2020 for $2.9 billion that the company received from Gazprom by decision of the Stockholm arbitration. This was announced on Facebook by head of Naftogaz Andriy Kobolyev:
“Last year, we separated the GTS Operator and, therefore, this year Naftogaz will no longer receive revenues from transit. But already in the first quarter we plan to pay taxes from $2.9 billion that we received in pursuance of the decision of the Stockholm arbitration”.
To recap, the Cabinet of Ministers does not plan to form gas reserve stocks for 2020.
As reported earlier it is planned to rebuild the Ukrainian gas transmission system for transit capacity of about 40 billion cubic meters of gas.
