NEURC fined JSC Lvivgaz UAH 425 thousand

The National Energy and Utilities Regulatory Commission reported that during the inspection of JSC Lvivgaz Gas Distribution System Operator it was found that the licensee had not complied with several requirements of the current legislation and the provisions of the Licensing Conditions for the implementation of economic activities for the distribution of natural gas and implementation of measures of state regulation.

During a meeting on July 23, 2021, the Regulator decided to impose penalties on Lvivgaz of UAH 425 thousand and ordered to settle all violations, shortcomings and remarks revealed during the audit.

“Lvivgaz is one of the few enterprises with the biggest amount of violations of consumer rights, especially with regard to connection, a large number of complaints from consumers. We impose a fine and will monitor the implementation of our decisions since the company is obliged to change its behaviour, and we must control this,” Head of the Regulator Valerii Tarasiuk said.
