NEURC fined Chernihivgaz Sbut UAH 204 thousand

The National Energy and Utilities Regulatory Commission announced the imposition of a fine on the gas supplier Chernihivgaz Sbut LLC for non-compliance with the requirements of the Licensing Conditions for the implementation of economic activities for the supply of natural gas, the press service reports.

“So, the specified supplier after the conclusion of the gas supply agreement several times during the month increased the price of the energy resource, which entailed the need for a redistribution of funds and a new passage of tender procedures for the Baturyn City Council. At the same time, non-residential consumers of the Baturyn united territorial community – schools, kindergartens, hospitals, art schools during the heating season were at risk of being left without heating during the new tender procedures,” said the Regulator.

The Commission decided to impose a fine of UAH 204 thousand on Chernihivgaz Sbut LLC. Repeated violation and/or abuse by this company will result in the revocation of the license to carry out business activities for the supply of natural gas.

As reported, NEURC may revoke Chernihivgaz Sbut license for abuse in the gas market.
