OPP saved UAH 17.5 million due to changes in the procurement system

Changes in the rules of the procurement system, introduced by the new management of Odesa Port Plant JSC, allowed to save UAH 17.5 million in May 2020. This was reported by the press service of the OPP.

The saved funds will be used to modernize the enterprise and provide social guarantees for the plant employees.

The average number of bidders in May 2020 was 2.9 vs 1.2 for the period from 01.01.2020 to 30.04.2020 due to the issuance of tender documents for the supply of inventory to the OPP without preliminary accreditation.

Increased competition has improved procurement transparency and eliminated artificially high prices.

“We have expanded the circle of bidders, therefore, increased competition among suppliers. In the near future, we plan to automate and centralize the procurement activities of the enterprise, which completely eliminates the possibility of corruption in the procurement process. It will also make it possible to reduce prices for materials that are delivered to the plant, while maintaining their high quality,” said the acting Chairman of the Board .

Recall that AgroGazTrading and the OPP extended the contract for 2020.

Earlier it was reported that Odesa port plant found a gas supplier after 1.5 years of inactivity and entered international markets.
