Poltavagaz Sbut stops supplying gas to customers for the second time

Poltavagaz Sbut LLC, which provided gas supply to household customers in Poltava region, stopped supplying gas to its customers, the press service of Naftogaz reports.

Since September 1, these consumers receive gas through a temporary insurance mechanism for household consumers – a supplier of last resort (SoLR). For uninterrupted gas supply, residents of Poltava and surrounding areas must choose and conclude an agreement with a market supplier. Today, more than 50 companies supply gas to household customers in Ukraine.

Poltavagaz Sbut stopped supplying gas to 219 thousand Poltava residents due to non-compliance with the requirements of the Gas Transmission System Code.

“Note that this is the second case when Poltavagaz Sbut customers are left without a market supplier. Starting from March 2021, residents of Poltava region receive gas from the SoLR. In the future, some of the clients chose a new supplier, and some returned to Poltavagaz Sbut LLC, the message says.

To recap, the restructuring of debts of district heating companies will begin after their analysis by a special commission.

Earlier, Naftogaz urged the Ukrainians to switch from the SoLR to Gas Supply Company Naftogaz of Ukraine to save 34% on gas payments.
