After the State Fiscal Service’s investigation, Naftogaz will return UAH 3 billion to the state budget

The State Fiscal Service of Ukraine (SFS) announces that NJSC Naftogaz of Ukraine will return UAH 3 billion to the budget after law enforcement officers collected evidence of deliberate tax evasion by officials of the state company, Kosatka.Media reports.

Thus, at the beginning of 2017, the fact of tax evasion by a state company by deliberate failure to take appropriate actions to complete customs clearance of natural gas in the "import" regime was established.

At the beginning of June 2021, the SFS conducted searches in NJSC Naftogaz of Ukraine. Over the course of several months, law enforcement officers have collected irrefutable evidence of deliberate actions by officials of the said state company to evade payment of more than UAH 3 billion in taxes.

“Based on the results of a complex of investigative and procedural actions, confirmation of the amount of damage caused to the state by the relevant forensic and economic examination, as well as the implementation of information and analytical activities, the representatives of the above state company agreed with the arguments of the investigation and the totality of the collected evidence and paid value-added tax to the state budget in the amount of more than UAH 3 billion,” the message says.

Documentation of the completion of the procedure for customs clearance of natural gas and payment of funds to the budget continues.

To recap, counterfeit liquefied gas from Russia worth UAH 58 million was found in Kharkiv region.
