Gas supplies through Ukraine to Hungary increased by 1 million cubic meters per day due to repairs on the gas pipeline – Makohon

Head of Ukrainian GTS Operator, Serhii Makohon, wrote on his Facebook page that the Hungarian GTS operator was forced to start operational repairs, which led to a significant decrease in gas supplies from Austria (to 80%) due to defects discovered on the gas pipeline near the Austrian-Hungarian border.

“However, the availability of flexible infrastructure in the region allowed traders to quickly restructure supply flows. Gas supplies through Ukraine to Hungary (excluding transit from Russia) have grown from 0.5 million m3 per day to 1.4 million m3,” he wrote.
