PSO on the gas market will not be continued after August 1

Acting Minister of Energy Olha Buslavets said that PSO will not be continued after August 1, UA Energy reports.

“We have canceled PSO since August 1. The gas market is even more liberalized. At the tender, the ministry selected the supplier of last resort (SoLR) for the supply of natural gas, it was Gas Supply Company Naftogaz of Ukraine LLC,” Buslavets said.

Recall that the government extended PSO for gas suppliers to the population until August 1 at a meeting on July 1.

Earlier it was reported that the Ministry of Energy of Ukraine has identified a supplier of last resort in the natural gas market.
