Shmyhal explained where to get the additional UAH 12 billion for subsidies

Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal said that the government has applied to the Verkhovna Rada with a proposal to increase the amount of subsidies in the budget by UAH 12 billion, Kosatka.Media reports.

“Today the budget is fulfilled by 104%. This is more than UAH 28 billion in addition to the general fund. Of this money, we will propose to the parliament to allocate UAH 12 billion for subsidies, so that all people who need subsidies receive them without delay and in full,” Shmyhal emphasized.

The Prime Minister noted that currently there are almost 3 million households in need of such assistance in Ukraine.

“The verification of the recipients of subsidies was carried out through electronic registers. Subsidies are about justice, and therefore it is very important that help is received by people who really need it and not those who rent out 5-6 apartments,” the head of government stressed.

According to Denys Shmyhal, the government will soon submit a corresponding draft amendment to the budget for 2021.

On September 10, the Prime Minister said that the Cabinet of Ministers would submit to the committee a draft of changes, which are proposed to allocate an additional UAH 12 billion for the payment of subsidies for housing and communal services.

Earlier, Head of NJSC Naftogaz Yurii Vitrenko said that the company could conclude contracts with regional gas companies to supply them with the process gas.
