Dolphin field will be auctioned by two lots – Opimakh

The head of the State Service of Geology and Subsurface Resources Roman Opimakh said that the Dolphin site, based on a production sharing tender, will be put up for auction in two lots, Interfax-Ukraine reports.

“At present, based on the results of negotiations with geologists, potential investors, and those who own geological information, we decided that the most optimal design of the shelf proposal would be just two sections”, he said during the presentation of the results of the service’s work in 2019 on Monday in Kyiv.

This, in particular, is about the North Dolphin and South Dolphin with a total area of 15 thousand square kilometers.

He also said that in March this year, the Cabinet of Ministers may launch three new development competitions based on production sharing agreements (PSAs).

To recap, Minister of Energy and Environmental Protection Oleksiy Orzhel at a meeting of the relevant parliamentary committee announced the possibility of dividing Dolphin into several lots.
