Ukraine and Moldova signed a gas supply memorandum

On December 13, in Chisinau, the Ministry of Energy of Ukraine and Moldova signed a memorandum of understanding in the field of security of gas supplies. This is reported by Economic Truth.

“The memorandum confirmed the intention of the two ministries to create dialogue and mutual assistance between the states in the supply of gas, eliminate and prevent serious irregularities in energy networks, as well as effectively prevent and mitigate interruptions in the supply of natural gas, in particular to protected consumers of both states located in the border zone”, said Deputy Minister of Energy and Environmental Protection of Ukraine for European Integration Kostyantyn Chizhyk.

Recall that in June Ukraine offered Moldova assistance in importing gas from the EU without the participation of Gazprom.

Earlier it was reported that Moldova fears that Ukraine and Russia will not agree on gas transit issues.
