Ukraine is fully prepared for the heating season 2019/2020. Neither weather nor political conditions will affect it.
This was stated by the First Deputy Head of the Board of NJSC Naftogaz of Ukraine Serhiy Pereloma during a briefing in Kyiv on Wednesday, Energoreforma reports.
“Ukraine is ready to go through the heating season, regardless of weather conditions or a scenario that can develop with the transit of natural gas”, Pereloma said.
He noted that the specialists of the Naftogaz group have repeatedly simulated the functioning of the gas transmission system in various weather conditions, as well as in the absence of transit of Russian gas through Ukraine and imports limiting from European countries, the representative of the company assured.
“Any scenario proves that we are steadily going through the heating season”, a top manager of Naftogaz assured.
As of October 30, 2019, there are 21.742 billion cubic meters of gas in the underground storage facilities of Ukraine (compared to 17 billion 194.96 million cubic meters as of the same date last year), which is the historical maximum of natural gas reserves over the past 10 years, Pereloma recalled.
It should be reminded that the heating season in Ukraine started on October 28. Ivano-Frankivsk region was the most prepared for it.
