Ukrgazvydobuvannya discovered a new gas field in Kharkiv region

JSC Ukrgazvydobuvannya has discovered a new field with prospective resources of up to 5 billion cubic meters of gas, according to the press service.

The new Mospanovske field is located in Kharkiv region. The prospecting well that discovered the field produces 239 thousand cubic meters of gas per day. According to preliminary estimates, the resources of the field are up to 5 billion cubic meters of gas.

The results of prospecting and exploration work indicate that the field is highly promising. This is also confirmed by the nearby Volokhovske field, which is already being developed by the company.

The well was built by the Ukrburgaz drilling team for 4 months (June-October 2021). The well has a vertical profile and a depth of 4150 m. Testing and research of the well are ongoing.

Ukrgazvydobuvannya is planning a further exploration program at the new field.

The company is systematically working to unlock the potential of new sites. 10 areas with the greatest prospects for building up Ukrainian gas reserves have been identified. An accelerated exploration program of these areas for the next 3 years has been developed.

At the end of October 2021, the company acquired a new Pivdenno-Rusanivska area at an electronic auction.

Earlier, the Cabinet of Ministers ordered Naftogaz to increase gas production.
