Ukrtransgaz began accepting applications for the distribution of the annual capacity of UGS facilities

On Monday, February 1, the Ukrainian gas storage facilities operator, Ukrtransgaz, began accepting applications for the distribution of the annual capacity of underground gas storage facilities, the press service reports.

Over the next two weeks, until February 15 inclusive, the company will wait for applications from customers who plan to order a service of annual capacity.

It is noted that when distributing the annual capacity, the tariffs are 20% lower than when ordering services for the day ahead, and 10% lower than when ordering for a month.

Clients can pay monthly throughout the year.

To book the annual capacity (from 1 to 4 next years), the volume of free power in the Ukrainian UGS facilities is 7 billion cubic meters.

“These volumes can be used by all companies wishing to get priority access to the injection and withdrawal of their gas from underground gas storage facilities, regardless of the UGS congestion, and more attractive tariff conditions,” the statement says.

As a reminder, Ukrtransgaz saved more than UAH 147 million on electronic gas purchases.

Earlier, the Ukrainian Gas Storage Operator began preparations for booking free capacities for a year in advance.
