Ukrtransgaz sold a software package for gas metering to the European market

JSC Ukrtransgaz brought the Ask-2 software complex, developed by the company for gas metering, to the European market, the press service reports.

The Ask-2 software package allows metering gas simultaneously in physical (cubic meters) and energy (kWh) units.

Recently, the Ask-2 complex was acquired and used by a GTS operator in one of the neighbouring countries of Europe.

“The software automates the process of collecting and processing metrological information and also carries out commercial and technological accounting of natural gas both at metering stations at production facilities and in the system as a whole. An important feature of the software package is gas metering simultaneously in cubic meters and kilowatt-hours - following the current legislation of Ukraine and current European standards, ”the message says.

In Ukraine, Ask-2 is used for gas transportation through main gas pipelines and in underground storage of natural gas. The complex will be able to perform similar functions in gas transmission systems and UGS networks in other European countries.

To recap, Ukrtransgaz and UEEX have introduced exchange trading in uncustomed gas.
