12 oil and gas fields will be put up for auction in February – Honcharuk

Prime Minister of Ukraine Oleksiy Honcharuk said on Facebook that the government is working to increase its own gas production. He noted that Ukraine would be more efficient in managing subsoil without “watchers” and influence groups.

“Nine agreements on the distribution of hydrocarbon subsoil are being prepared for signing, and the Investment Atlas of the Subsoil User has also been launched, on which more than 100 objects ready for subsoil use have been applied, in particular, promising oil and gas fields. On February, 12 auctions for the plots will be launched through electronic bidding”, he wrote.

He noted that he was visiting Ukrgazvydobuvannya, one of the Poltava wells.

“At the central level, we have already simplified licensing procedures, introduced electronic auctions and developed a set of important legislative changes to revive Ukrainian gas production”, Honcharuk noted.

To recap, Honcharuk said that Ukrainians will receive low heat bills for February.

Earlier it was reported that the number of fields in the Investment Atlas has grown to 106.
