New gas field discovered in China
A new gas field with estimated gas reserves of 100 billion cubic meters has been discovered in the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region of the PRC, Interfax reports.
PetroChina discovered the field (a subsidiary of the largest China National Petroleum Corporation, CNPC).
This is another gas field in the region. The previous one was discovered in the Tarim Basin last September.
As reported, Turkey discovered additional reserves of natural gas in the Black Sea.
