The Russian company Gazprom announced the exculpation of arrests and support measures for its assets. Arrests were imposed at the request of Naftogaz in European courts.
Naftogaz explained the situation.
“These arrests were imposed on Gazprom’s assets in different jurisdictions in order to force it to pay the debt by the decision of the Stockholm arbitration, $2.9 billion. We received $2.9 billion in money from Gazprom on December 27, 2019. The debt has been recovered”, the report said.
The Dutch court granted the application for the seizure of a share of Gazprom in its Dutch subsidiaries and the debts of these subsidiaries in 2018.
Earlier it was reported that NJSC Naftogaz of Ukraine plans to pay taxes from $2.9 billion received from Gazprom in the first quarter of 2020.
